Wednesday, 4 March @ 10:00 am – 12:30 pm

A half-day 10am to 12.30pm workshop that focuses on the ancient art of Macramé.
In this workshop we will be upcycling glass vases / jars with an array of Macramé designs.
There will be a choice of glassware available, but if you have anything at home you would like to add your design to, please bring it along. The only requirement is that the glass container has a neck or lip. TheMacramé yarn is not glued to the container, so can be removed later.
Depending on the size of your chosen receptacle you may complete one or a few projects during the workshop.
Your finished item could be used as a vase, candle holder, pencil pot or simply enjoyed as a piece of art.

Lucy from Hearts and Pearls is a self-taught Macramé artist based in Falmouth. Grown from a hobby, her business specialises in propagating rare trailing semi-succulent plants, including the popular String of Hearts and Pearls, and through this, she first explored making decorative plant hangers from Macramé yarn. Having experimented with various projects over the years, she now runs Macramé workshops in the local area. She designs tutorials for others to learn the basics of this historic art form, some of which are available to purchase in the CCB gift shop.
