Hydrangeas in a Vase – Collage Workshop

Join award-winning artist Susan Watt for a relaxed and inspiring workshop celebrating the beauty of hydrangeas in bloom. Using her distinctive technique of ‘painting with paper’, Susan will guide you through creating a vibrant still-life collage of hydrangeas arranged in a vase, using recycled magazines and PVA glue to achieve rich colour, depth, and texture.
In this hands-on session, you’ll explore shape, composition, colour harmony, and subtle tonal variation as you build your artwork petal by petal. Susan will share tips on translating soft floral forms into paper collage, helping you create a piece that has the look and feel of a painting.
Suitable for beginners and more experienced artists alike, this workshop offers a joyful, mindful way to experiment with colour and texture while creating a finished artwork to take home.
